How to scan a photo in full screen please

Hello,

I want to scan paper photos using my HP 3057A multifunction printer.
However, when I scan a photo, it saves correctly on my computer as a JPEG, but not in full screen.
I would like to obtain a "normal" scan, meaning in full screen, as if the photo had been taken with a digital camera.

    Indeed, it's a bit unclear but sufficient :-)

    Well then, when an image is smaller than the scanner window, only that area should be scanned and not the entire glass.
    To do this, and depending on the scanners, there are generally 2 modes:

    Automatic mode, where the scanner detects the area of the image to scan by itself, but this assumes that the scanner is in automatic mode AND that the image, or at least its edge, contrasts with the generally white background of the scanner lid. For example, if you place a light image on a white edge on the scanner, it will be unable to detect anything at all.

    Manual mode with preview: you switch to manual mode from the PC (scanner management software installed with the printer/scanner via a CD generally), and the scanner first performs a quick scan and then shows the scanned image. You just need to select the area where the photo/image/document is located with the mouse, and then start the final scan. The scanner will then only scan THAT area and you will have your image in "full screen," or rather the scan of the image only.

    I can't provide more detail than that because each brand, or even model, has its own software and its own manual that explains all this.

    So I invite you to take out your manual.

    Hello madmyke,
    once the image is scanned, how do I make it "full screen"?
    Because it appears at the top left of the jpeg window if I place it at the top left of my scanner.
    This may not be very clear as an explanation, but I think you understand my problem

    Hello

    Fullscreen and scanning have nothing to do with each other.
    A scanner scans an image according to the parameters you give it, meaning the size of the image and the dpi resolution.

    Then, displaying an image in "fullscreen" simply depends on the display window of the visualization program.
