Hello everyone,
first of all, I want to apologize for any mistakes as I am using my wife's Japanese PC which does not have accents.
Regarding my issue of the day, I have an HP Pavilion DV9500 laptop that refuses to display anything. Let me explain... I press the power button, the screen lights up but remains black. However, the PC starts up normally as I can hear the startup sound, and when I press various keys, I feel like I am navigating blindly...
So, I have done some research and tried a method that involves disconnecting everything (battery and power), pressing the ON button for 10 seconds, and plugging everything back in, but nothing works.
Anyway, I am desperate, which is why I am reaching out for your help.
Thank you.

Do you have a VGA port on the side of your laptop or an HDMI port?
VGA port photo:

HDMI port:

Thank you for your response.
Yes, I have both.
I connected a monitor via VGA and then HDMI, but no image appears even though it usually detects automatically...
So I pressed fn and f4 to switch from one screen to another, still the same result. The screen is on but remains black...
Could it be a graphics card issue?

Apparently, this would be due to a graphics card issue, as this problem often recurs online with this model. The best option for you would be either to contact the seller where you purchased it to send it to HP's customer service, or to buy a new laptop.
