Hello, since this morning I have a problem with my USB 3.0 ports. Indeed, in the device manager, the driver "Intel(R) USB 3.0 extensible host controller"
is not working, it shows 'Code 10'
I have tried many techniques but nothing works, I reinstalled the driver, used different software, enabled something in the BIOS... nothing is working. Please help me to avoid having to settle for the poorly functioning USB 2.0 :(

Hello, I had the same issue these past few days. That is to say, none of my USB ports were working in Windows 7 with the USB 3.0 host controller from Intel(R).
I don't really think I solved the problem, but I still found a solution.
After several attempts in safe mode, as my USB ports were working then, I found on a forum (via another computer, of course) someone who had disabled the USB feature in their motherboard's BIOS.
I did that and everything started working again. So no, I haven't regained USB 3.0 (a bit unfortunate, I admit...) but I've still regained the full functionality of my USB ports.
I should mention that I occasionally use external hard drives, but that's not at all my main use for my USB ports.

I hope this can help some of you ;)

Best regards.

The principle is to disable the USB 3.0 ports on the motherboard; there is an option in the BIOS.

For my setup, I did it on an ASUS Z97-A with BIOS version 1.2xx.

I just noticed that this information was missing. ;)
