Hello :
This morning, I wanted to quit uTorrent but I got the message "Unable to save recovery file" (several times) and I ultimately had to click on cancel ...
When restarting uTorrent, I had lost the last three days and some completed torrents are marked as "fail" (red and no option to recheck or restart ...)
Since I keep the torrent files, and if the downloaded files are still there,
(didn't have time to check this morning ...) I should be able to manage but I wanted to know :
1) where this error comes from
2) if it can be fixed without reconnecting everything "manually" ..
Thank you for your answers
PS: Bitdefender tells me I have no viruses ...
(I haven't tested Malwarebytes mentioned in a similar question here :

Hello
I hope that by now you have found a solution to this problem.
As for me, I just discovered that it was because the file was set to "read-only," so I unchecked that option in the file properties and I will see if that solves the issue!
Have a good evening. -
Here I found the solution! For me, the message arrived when I moved my uTorrent folder to a portable version on a new OS. Run it as an administrator and the problem is solved!

Well, as planned, I had to "catch up" on three days by hand (three hours of work...)
but apparently I haven't lost anything (other than time...):
has anyone else faced this problem and found a cleverer solution?
(and faster...)
what can I do to prevent this from happening again? (I'm clenching my buttocks all the time...)
Thank you for your responses. -
