Hello,
I have the software Mediabat for creating my invoices.
Last week, I backed it up on a hard drive because my computer
was starting to act up.
And what was bound to happen, happened, as my computer crashed and I had to
completely reset it.
I reinstalled the software on another computer and wanted to restore my backup,
but it won't work and tells me that "it's not the right disk or the archive file does not exist."
So automatically, it only reinstalls my backup from May 2012....
This is a big problem because I am missing a large number of invoices.
Has anyone ever had this problem, and if so, how did you resolve it?
Or does anyone have a solution for me?
Thanks in advance.
Have a good evening.
Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 9.0

Hi, I've been using Mediabat since 1998. For the past 3 years, I haven't taken any updates because each time there’s an issue, and I have to call, and the company hastens to deduct the phone time from support. The program was very good from 2000 to 2008 because the company asked for user feedback to modify and improve the program. For the last 6 to 8 years, the company has been acting according to their engineers without the input of the craftsmen, which is why the software doesn't meet the expectations of professionals and has more and more defects. It's a business, but it's the craftsmen who built Mediabat; the director, Mr. Martinez, should remember that.
Hello.
It's possible that you saved this backup on another drive.
On the internal hard drive, for example.

Hello,
you are satisfied because you are in the industry, but I am far away and I can tell you that they are reachable but not as effective, because on my header they can't manage to put a quality mark despite several reminders, and the problems are still ongoing, so I canceled my contract and they now refuse to troubleshoot. You might say it's normal, but considering how much the software cost me, I am really frustrated. They sent me a quote of €150 just to update, so I can't afford that.
Now I find myself stuck; I'm done, I will take a local office at least I can go complain in person.

Hello,
I already switched to a new PC, just reinstall the software in the same place, then replace the directory with the one you backed up.
Have a nice evening.

Well, you're lucky because we only have problems with this software. Every time they've made updates, it's disrupted something else and caused us to lose a ton of data, so we had to start everything over and we're losing an enormous amount of time. So much so that we don't even dare to call them out of fear it will disrupt something else. We are extremely disappointed, to put it mildly.
I also paid 100% for modules that never worked; but I paid for them! Like the invoicing for the maintenance contracts. It has been almost 3 years since I took any updates. It works as it is. I manage without the paid modules that I no longer benefit from now. I don't know why. I paid the high price after all.
This Mr. Martinez is really not correct.
It needs to be brought to light. I need to find a solution because I would like a formula that works on the iPad Pro. If someone knows an appropriate software for craftsmen...? Thank you.
