Photoshop CS6 filters

Solved

Hello,
I have a new desktop PC equipped with Windows 7 (64 bits) and I just installed Adobe Master Collection CS6 as a trial version. I had on my old PC Windows 7 (32 bits) with Adobe Master Collection CS5. I remember putting 2 DLLs in System and System32. What should I place for a 64-bit Windows as DLLs for my filters to work? Where can I find them? Where should I install them?
Thank you for your reply.

    Hello
the filters are integrated into Photoshop
I've never heard of adding a dll

what do you mean by my filters?

if you are talking about certain paid plug-ins, indeed the old ones do not work under 64 bits

    Hello,

For my part, there was no need for any DLL modifications to get the filters working.

I am on Windows 7 - 64 bits, and everything works perfectly after the installation.

Thank you for your response, both of you.
Indeed, I wanted to talk about paid plug-ins that allow for effects.
So if I understand correctly, with 64-bit I can no longer use them with Photoshop CS6.
I still have Photoshop CS5 on CD, will they work under 64-bit?
    Thank you for your help.

I can't answer you like that in a general way

some won't work because of the CS6 update, others because of the 64-bit

the solution is to update them on their publisher's website but sometimes you have to pay for them again

and don't forget that on a 64-bit OS Adobe installs two versions of Photoshop, one in 32-bit and one in 64-bit

take a good look in your program list

maybe you can get a few more to work by installing them in the 32-bit Photoshop plug-in folder

For your information, your license will probably no longer be valid for CS5 if you have switched to CS6.

Thanks to Baluze and oxyde48 for your answers, which helped me gain clarity. I took a while to thank you because I wanted to try it out first and then give you a response. I had my old version of Photoshop CS5 on hand, which I reinstalled, and the serial number posed no problem. In summary, if you want to continue using the old filters, it's essential to keep your version 5 safe, because after that, it's a hassle.
Thanks again to both of you.

      Hello,

I'm in the same situation as you; I'm looking for how to install the old filters like GraphicsPlus and Kang that worked very well in Photoshop CS5 and CS6 but don't work at all now. I don't understand anything about these brief

So, I've heard about a plug-in that needs to be installed. I found it, but I don't know how it works

If anyone has some advice or an interesting tip to offer, it would be great for several people

Otherwise, do you have any free filters that work on CS6?
