Hello,
I recently bought a Dual HCD 5120 speaker kit along with a JVC AX V55 amplifier and a Sony subwoofer.
I managed to connect everything except for the two rear speakers from the Dual speaker pack. The two front columns are working, and the center one is too (the center is connected to the subwoofer, which is connected to the amplifier).

I still have the two small ones called Rear, and I don't know where to connect them. I connected them to the amplifier as front speakers, but it doesn't work; the same goes for the center connection; it's not working either, so I'm stuck :/
If someone could come help me, please!

Best regards

    Hello

Have you had time to read the amplifier manual to know how to connect these speakers?

Indeed, it's clearly marked on it! Thank you very much, I didn't think I would find it on the internet, thank you!

Hello, on some amplifiers, you have to do the opposite of what you think, that is to say, instead of increasing by + x decibels, you have to go negative to increase the sound. The settings range from -10dB to +10dB, passing through 0dB, so go towards -10dB and normally you will hear the sound.

    Best regards.

And if I'm not mistaken, the outputs are "<b>FRONT SPEAKERS 1</b>" associated with the central speaker output "<b>CENTER SPEAKER</b>" and the "<b>REAR SPEAKERS</b>", while the outputs "<b>FRONT SPEAKERS 2</b>" work without being associated with the central speaker and the rear speakers.

In the manual, it explains that if the front speakers are not connected, no sound will come from the rear speakers, so check if the front speakers are connected to "<b>FRONT SPEAKERS 1</b>" and make the adjustments on the rear as I explained.

Here is an image with the drawings taken from the PDF manual of the JVC AX-V55:

But normally, the factory settings are already done for it to work without touching anything, then it's just fine-tuning.

Best regards, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate.

Thank you all for your help!
I've made progress since ^^ I've checked the outputs, I'm set to Front speakers 1 and I have everything else properly wired. (P.S.: I'm an electrician, I should be fine :p) So I set Rear to +10 in the settings and I have sound, but I can hardly hear it; only the guitars come through, for example, and it's not very clear, as if the sound isn't amplified. Especially since it indicates 90W musical power and 60W RMS power, so from what I can hear, I suppose the sound isn't amplified.
So I guess I messed up the settings.

I also think it’s a matter of settings; anyway, the rear surround speakers don’t produce very loud sound, they are only there to provide some sound effects, they don’t have the same tones as the front speakers.

    No problem, my pleasure.

Best regards and have a good evening ;-)

I also think so, in any case I have sound on it, that's already good :)
I will therefore close this topic and thank you all for your help!
Thank you very much and good luck to everyone!
