replace the VLC icon with an image from the movie

Hello everyone,

I would like to replace the beautiful orange and white markers with images of films or posters that I would have previously found on the internet.

I've been looking for a while but I can't find anything. Does anyone have an idea? If possible, without having to download yet another software...

Thank you for the advice, but I had already tried, and it doesn't work... And replacing it with an image of your choice, is that not possible? Am I asking for the impossible? ^^

Hello,
don't worry, you won't have to download yet another software to change your icon!

1- go to the location where your videos are stored
2- right-click on the file
3- view
4- select large icons

You should normally see an image from the movie

No, it's not impossible because I have excerpts from the movie. What type of file is it, .avi or .mkv?

so go to where your videos (or movies) are
1° right-click on a video then properties
2° then modify and there you take Windows Media
3° then you switch back to VLC
normally you will have some of your videos (your movies)

I know I can do it with Windows Media, but I want to be able to put the movie poster instead of an icon. And I still want to be able to play it with VLC. They do it with CD covers, so why not with movies?

Hello
open the control panel / programs and features / turn Windows features on or off click on it a window appears search in the window for the multimedia features box check or uncheck the box
you can also open it by clicking on the small + which gives access to other boxes to check and uncheck then restart the computer
