Hello everyone! The message displayed earlier appeared to me just now. I was advised to go into the setup, which I did, to simply restart the computer with the same options. And everything works!
The strangest thing in all this is that I have never overclocked my CPU; on the contrary, I had to lower it to x16 (it’s x30 natively) because it was overheating beyond 91 degrees when I played (it’s indicated that the maximum recommended temperature is 77 degrees). After purchasing a case with 3 fans, I set it to x25, and it now peaks at 74 degrees when I play. I could have left it at that, but this message worries me; I wonder if I should ignore it since it seems absurd.
To help you, here is my hardware configuration:
Motherboard name MSI Z68A-G43/B3 (MS-7750)
Processor type QuadCore Intel Core i5-2320, 2500 MHz (25 x 100) (30 x 100 natively, I remind you)
DIMM1: Corsair XMS3 CMX4GX3M1A1600C9 (twice)
North Bridge Intel Sandy Bridge-DT IMC
BIOS type AMI EFI
I am using Windows 7 64 bit
Should I do something? If yes, what? Thanks in advance.

Hello
The message is not alarming; it comes from the fact that you have locked the CPU multiplier to a value other than its native one.
The message likely appeared due to a new overheating issue.
What you need to do:
Change the cooler for a more efficient one that will properly cool the CPU and set the multiplier back to auto in the BIOS.

Salut, I have the same problem but my PC turns off and on 5 times and after the 5 times I get this message: Warning the previous overclocking has failed. I go into the BIOS but everything is set to default and it’s still the same. Since then, I can't get to the desktop anymore and I never overclock my PC. What should I do?
