Hello,
a word of advice, be careful when buying EBP software...
I bought an eco pack for €179 "invoicing + classic accounting".
After activating it, I wanted to add a tax to my invoices.
I called the hotline, and they told me I had to upgrade to the higher version: €100 more.
I asked them if they were messing with me...
she replied curtly that I should have tried the product first..
a scam...

I just sent a letter to the quality service of EBP
according to the response, I will contact the DGCCRF and inform them about the "trap software" from this brand, and I will take legal action.

As with most of these software programs, you need to create a VAT account before applying it in your invoice or accounting.
It should be possible to add it to the chart of accounts (menu "data").

Hello.
Thank you for your response, but unfortunately, no, it doesn't work like that.
EBP has restricted the software so that we can create different VAT rates without any issues, except that we can't combine them (I had considered this attempt).
And the accounting plan is restricted, so I'm really stuck...
I sent them a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt and I reported it to the DGCCRF.
I think they are going to have some problems...

It's weird because the software handles VAT declarations CA3 CA12 and annexes, which requires a detailed declaration of VAT rates...
In accounting, we must not combine VAT rates. The presentation should be done separately, even if it means having several lines of net amount - VAT... on the invoice, only the total including tax can be summed up.
I am not aware of a locked chart of accounts in EBP software...
That they are not very clear, with poorly designed ergonomics... that's for sure, and that the customer service is limited is certain... but their software works for what it is intended for.

My parafiscal tax is not a VAT. It is calculated on the net price and is added to the VAT.
I do not owe it to the public treasury but to another fund.
And the information I am giving you, unfortunately, comes from customer service who directed me straight to the sales department when I mentioned a parafiscal tax...
If they are also talking nonsense…
;-)
Furthermore, the sales representative clearly explained to me that they need to make a living by evolving their software, which I can understand.
But what is illegal, in my opinion, is not informing the consumer about it… in this case, packaging is made for that too…

No, my parafiscal tax is not subject to VAT... it is calculated on the net amount and added to the VAT.
I remit it to the CNV, the center for variety and jazz music.

Okay.. So you can invoice it as having a VAT of 0%.. it's the simplest.
When invoicing the "contribution for private copying" for CDs and DVDs, we do not directly recover the net amount of the invoice, we enter the value directly in the billing line... (and in this specific case, we apply VAT on it)
I don't think the presentation of the EBP invoice footer can be modified in the basic version.. this is indeed a problem for you.. but without too much modification, the line at 0% VAT seems fine to me.

Yes, I tried to do that; indeed, it seemed the most sensible to me, except that it becomes complicated to explain this line at the accounting level...
And then, this kind of trick works for software costing €20, not for software costing €180, professional ones... that we report to the tax authorities, etc...
But thank you for your advice...
Right now, I simply want EBP to refund me or upgrade me to the higher version, or this tax will appear as it should... and not through any kind of workaround...
