PDF file opened with Word Solved

Question

Hello everyone, I couldn't find the solution to my problem, which is why I'm here on this site.
I'm trying to understand why, and especially to fix the fact that all my .pdf files (whether on my computer or sent to me by email) open with Microsoft Word (2000) instead of Adobe Reader (which I have on my computer)!
If anyone has a little solution, thank you in advance!

Re.

Try the manipulation I suggested (with the checkbox, etc.)
If it doesn't work, do this:

* Open My Computer
* Click on Tools, Folder Options
* Select the "File Types" tab
* Look for the .PDF extension
* Click on Modify...
* Choose the Adobe Reader program
* Confirm and try to open your file

What I would like to do is to make it so that now all my PDF files open automatically by double-clicking with Adobe, so I don't have to go through right-clicking and opening with! Yes, I'm demanding :) but it's just that I have two computers and on one it does that, while on the other PDFs open automatically with Adobe, so go figure!!!!

Sorry to doubt it, but I just tried again because I knew I could open a PDF file. However, if I double-click on my file (after having opened it once with right-click/open with), it automatically opens with Word. :s

Hi Furtif! :-)  Indeed, if you check the box "Always use this program to open this type of file," you won't need to select "Open with" anymore ;-)  -- Nils
