Hello,
A friend gave me his iPhone 4.
The unlocking request was successfully made to SFR as he received a message saying that the unlocking was okay and that he needed to follow a procedure by connecting to iTunes to complete it.
Problem: iTunes does not recognize the iPhone, my PC detects the device and iTunes searches for about 5 minutes for the iPhone and states "we are unable to proceed with your activation at this time"
Same when I try to activate it via Wi-Fi: I choose the country/language/my Wi-Fi and then it says activation may take 3 minutes and finally "activation failed..."
iTunes only recognizes the iPhone in recovery mode, and when I start a restore, I always get the message at the end: "we are unable to proceed with your activation at this time"
I have tried all these manipulations without a SIM card, with an SFR SIM card, and with my Free SIM card. Nothing works!!
I don't know what to do, any solutions???
Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 8.0

connect your iphone to the pc
launch itunes
press the power button and the home button at the same time for 10 seconds
then release the power button and keep holding the home button until itunes detects an iphone in recovery mode
you restore and install the latest update for your phone
it will then be completely unlocked and you can reactivate your sim card
