Hello, I just purchased a Lasonic ghetto blaster (wireless iPhone dock)
and I have the option to power it either through a 220V outlet or with 10 LR batteries, and my question is: can I use the device on mains power while leaving the 10 batteries in the device?
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 18.0

No, it is not recommended because the batteries may oxidize and drain the lithium they contain; it is either the sector or the batteries.

Unless I'm mistaken, batteries oxidize not because we put them in the current, but rather because we leave them "unused" for a long period.
So in principle, there is no prohibition to your request BUT, if you leave the batteries and do not use this power source regularly, it is better to remove them.
