Microsoft Money on tablet? Solved

Question

Hello,

I have been using Money for 15 years and I am facing a problem, how can I install this software (apparently only available on CD-ROM) on a tablet?
Is there no compatibility with Samsung or even the Surface tablet?

On Android tablets it's impossible since it's a Windows application. The same goes for the iPad.

The Surface tablet runs on Windows RT, so Money will need to be adapted by the publisher to be compatible. However, it will run on the Surface Pro, as this tablet is running on standard Windows 8. But it will be under the standard Windows desktop, poorly suited for touch mode.

Have you tried borrowing a CD-ROM drive with a USB port to read the CD on the tablet? I would really love for that to be possible and to buy the tablet!

I have a tablet running Windows 8, I copied the Money 2005 installation CD to an external drive and then installed it on the tablet. I then needed the MSMoney patch to recover my Money files.
