Facebook search bar missing Solved

Question

Hello,

For some time now on my Facebook page, the search bar on the blue banner at the top of the page is inactive, everything is on a blue background, and I can no longer search.

Before it worked just fine, I’m not sure what could have happened, I think it might be due to a settings issue or the new Facebook page.

In any case, I can't resolve the problem, if someone can help me, I've seen on the forums that I'm not alone in this situation but I haven't found any solutions.

I can't write emails on Facebook, the blue menu bar has completely disappeared and all the photos I'm tagged in and my albums have disappeared!
Are you also in this situation? How did it come back for those who say everything is back to normal?

Hello  Maybe a few updates could solve the issue First of all Internet Explorer, from what I see you are on 6 .. I believe we are on 9. Probably also Adobe Flash Player, to check, just in case.

Yes, switch to version 9 for security reasons

HERE ---> Internet Explorer 9

Right-click on the search bar....then click on "Perform a custom search"

Set the parameters as shown in this ----> IMAGE

I have neither a menu bar, nor friends, nor photos. Everything has disappeared. However, I am welcomed to Facebook and am suggested to find friends, but I don't find that very funny... The only "reassuring" thing is that apparently I'm not the only one! Enjoy --'

Isawsparks, I have the same problem as you! Yet when I look from my boyfriend's profile, nothing has changed on my profile but I can't access anything anymore!

Maybe a maintenance? We just have to wait for the reporting emails sent to Facebook to know what to do.... please spread the word if someone receives a response! ;)

Same problem for me! No more friends, no more groups... and yet when I ask one of my contacts to look me up on Facebook, nothing has changed...

To all those it happens to, are you all sure that:

- Your browser and your add-ons are up to date
- Your cache is cleared

It is likely that this is indeed a problem coming from Facebook (although I haven't read anything official yet) but I would like to remind you that an outdated program (mostly Flash Player) is enough to mess up your browsing.

Regardless of the browser, the bug is present (I've tried Safari, Firefox, and Chrome), and even on the iPhone App, all my photos have disappeared and I can't send any emails. The only thing I've managed to do today is replace a cover photo because they removed mine... and I see my friends liking it, but I can't respond to them... very strange.

It's simply that Facebook forces you to switch from a personal profile to a page, which doesn't give you the same rights. It's a real mess!
