Audio service not running on Windows 7

Hello,
I don't know if I'm in the right section, but here I go,
After browsing the internet and trying X attempts, I still can't find a solution to get sound back on my computer. Let me explain:
A friend reformatted my computer, and when I got the PC back, boom, no audio devices. The computer asks me if I want to reactivate it, but when I click "yes," there are no playback devices and no sound devices. I'm completely lost; I can manage with computers, but do you have any steps to suggest or links to give me to download these devices?
I have an emachines G627 laptop.
Thank you in advance.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 9.0

Hello, try this: in the start menu, type msconfig, then in the general tab you have 3 boxes, check normal startup and then restart your PC normally, the audio service should reactivate.

It's been 2 days that I've been trying to solve my problem and finally, thanks to Bejjani 321, I succeeded on the second attempt (You need to choose to "restart the computer" instead of turning it off normally and then restarting it.)
Thanks again.

Bonjour, sur mon PC, j'ai le symbole du haut-parleur avec le rond rouge et la croix, et je n'arrive pas à rétablir le son. Help, merci.
