Hello, I bought a HP Pavilion p6-2160 ef computer not long ago because my other computer was no longer working. The salesperson said that the graphics card was good for gaming; it's an AMD Radeon 7450. However, once I tried playing games, they were choppy, whereas with my old graphics card (an ATI Radeon 4670), they were smooth. So I put the old card back in my new computer, and it works, but now I want to buy a gaming graphics card. I want the AMD Radeon HD 7950, so I looked up all the specs online, but I already feel like it's too big to fit in the case. Also, my motherboard is PCI Express 2.0, and the graphics card is PCI Express 3.0, and they say it requires 2 PCI Express slots with 6 pins each, and a 500-watt power supply. I checked my new HP Pavilion's power supply, and it’s 300 watts... That won’t work. I then checked my old computer, and it has a 480-watt power supply, which would be better if I change the power supply, right? Is it okay if the motherboard is PCI Express 2.0 and the graphics card is PCI Express 3.0? Will it fit in the case? What do you recommend? I want to change the graphics card, but I don’t want to buy it and then find out it won’t fit in my case. What should I do?

Indeed, an HD7950 must be big for your case. As for the power supply, a 480W quality unit, certified at least 80+ Bronze, could work. But that doesn't seem to be the case for yours. You would likely have to settle for an HD7770.
" My motherboard is a PCI Express 2.0 and the graphics card is a PCI Express 3.0"
That’s not a problem, as there is backward compatibility.
