Hello everyone,
Before I present my problem, here is the configuration I am using:
Windows 8 (x64)
Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate
Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus (x86 I think)
Internet Information Services 8
Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5
Now I can move on to the problems.
I am developing an ASP.NET application that I would like to host on IIS. However, I am encountering a lot of problems since I switched to IIS. Basically, since the beginning of the application, I used the "Visual Studio Development Server" to debug it, and my application works very well.
However, to be closer to reality, I decided to use the "Local IIS Web Server" from now on. And that's when the problems start.
I spent more than two hours trying to configure Windows and IIS properly to get the site to display. After I managed to solve this first issue, I moved on to the next one.
Indeed, I am using an ACCESS database (*.accdb) to display data on my site. And since I switched to IIS, I keep getting the error message "The provider 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' is not registered on the local machine."
So you'll tell me that I need to install some "Engines," but I've already installed different components like: http://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/download/details.aspx?id=23734 or http://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/download/details.aspx?id=13255 but nothing works!
Is it because my OS is not supported by these files???
You might mention that I need to switch from the "Any CPU" platform to "x86" or vice versa, but let me stop you right there, I've already tried that :)
Have I missed a configuration somewhere??? Did I forget something???
I am on the verge of cracking, and I am calling upon all your knowledge on this subject.
Thanks in advance ^_^

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/iis/application-frameworks/running-classic-asp-applications-on-iis-7-and-iis-8/using-classic-asp-with-microsoft-access-databases-on-iis
