Good evening, I recently built a computer and when I try to play videos or music with my headphones or my hi-fi system plugged into any jack socket, the voices are very faint while the rest is normal. I also tried playing with VLC, Windows Media Player, or other players, and nothing changes.
Thank you in advance
Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 23.0.1271.64

Hi,
I know the topic is quite old but I found the solution:
On Windows 7 go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > right-click on speakers > enhancements > loudness equalization > settings and there you get as close as possible to "short".
There you go, personally it helped me a lot. Before, I couldn't even watch movies because I couldn't hear what the actors were saying, but now it's like I can hear them shouting :P
