Hello,

iTunes does not detect my Apple devices when I connect them to my computer. However, they are recognized as removable disks.
An error message appears: iTunes could not connect to this iPhone, an unknown error occurred error 0xE8000084.
I have already tried uninstalling and repairing it but nothing works (sometimes it recognizes it on the first launch of the software but as soon as I turn off the computer it starts again).
Does anyone have a solution to offer?

    Many people have this problem. Sometimes your devices are recognized and sometimes not? That was the case for me. First, I reinstalled a new version of iTunes (it often works but it didn't work for me). Otherwise, you can restart your computer when it doesn't detect it. To find out where the problem comes from; open iTunes, go to "Help" then "Run Diagnostics", then do everything it tells you and they will redirect you to a webpage. This might help you resolve your issue. For me, this problem was resolved over time... Good luck anyway! :)

      I have the same problem for 2 days with my iPad which 1. does not want to charge anymore 2. when I connect it to my PC with iTunes, it is not recognized either, it shows "error OxE8000084". Could it be a problem with the connectors (cables?) or is it only a technical issue as you said, Moii83?
      PS: My husband and I have 2 iPhones and not the same iTunes account, could that create disturbances? Thanks for the answers.

      Well, I followed the advice of Moii83 and since we had the latest version of iTunes, we went directly to the "help" step and then "run diagnostics." At the step "turn off and restart the computer," the iPad was recognized by iTunes again!! Phew
