How to unzip and extract a folder

Hello,
I need to do this:
"Please open the zip file attached to this email.
Unzip it and please extract the folder (pkgdb) as well as the config.nfm file that are located in the zip file on the desktop, then copy them and paste them onto a blank SD card or a blank USB stick (format the USB stick beforehand)."
But the instructions given are not clear enough for me.
I need more details.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 15.0.1

He asks you to open your zipped file, then click on extract, and go to your desktop where you'll find the files you unzipped, then copy them to your memory card.

Thank you MAV DAV for the answer, but for me it's not enough.
My files do not go to my desktop after extracting them, I believe they go into "portable."
Also, do I need to send them to the desktop afterwards to copy them onto a USB stick?
