(My window closes when I want to minimize it)

Hello,
I have a problem that’s driving me crazy! Actually, when I want to minimize a window to the taskbar (any application, from Outlook to IE, from Word to a folder window, etc.), it closes and disappears!
This isn't related to the use of a software: it's really with EVERYTHING!
It’s super annoying!
I’ve tried “everything,” but to no avail! Does anyone have a solution to propose?

Configuration: HP laptop Windows XP Pro Internet Explorer 7.0 and Firefox 2

    if the problem is recent, do a "restoration"
    otherwise, try a "repair" first

      Good evening and THANK YOU to you. I had to be away for a few days. I finally managed to fix this problem thanks to an external suggestion, using an excellent software: Taskbar Repair. I recommend it to you because it's very lightweight, fast, and devilishly effective. I hope this solution will be beneficial to the CCM community.
      Moreover, the tip you gave me will be useful for something else. Have a good evening.
