Question

Good evening,
after doing some research online and finding no solution, I decided to post here.
Here is my problem:
I just moved and cannot install channels on my TV.
(It's a Grandin CBX1909 brand) it's one year old. It worked perfectly in my previous home.
With it, I have an indoor TV antenna for HDTV/UHF/VHF/FM from Philips. (also one year old)
In my previous home, I just had to plug my TV (into the simple wall socket), do the same with the antenna (just into a 'basic' wall socket) and connect the TV to the antenna with the provided cable.. and it worked very well like that..
Now, when I do that, turn on the TV and the antenna, then go to menu/installation/automatic channel search I get "no channels found please check the antenna connection"
I don't know what's blocking... maybe I'm connecting something wrong... there are 3 wires it doesn't seem too hard... especially since everything worked well like that before..

Can someone help me?

Hello.  Nothing surprising. In most cases, it is impossible to receive DTT properly with an indoor antenna (even amplified). Unless you live a few kilometers from the transmitter.

what’s this connection? your indoor antenna needs to be plugged directly into the TV without going through the wall sockets, in your other apartment there must have been a collective antenna.

What is this connection?  It's a simple plug just to turn on the antenna. After that, yes, I have a cable to connect it to the TV. But I also have to plug the antenna into this wall socket, otherwise I can't turn it on..  My previous place was a small hospital dormitory; I don't know if we had a communal antenna.. I really don't understand anything! haha  Anyway, I don't know what to do :(

but even a picture of poor quality I would take.. I don’t need to have 20 channels, 1, 2, 3 and 6 would be just fine for me :)
right now I have absolutely nothing..
anyway.. I’m looking for a solution. if I find one I will post something in case someone has the same issue

On this forum, it has been explained in detail and repeated multiple times that receiving TNT with an indoor antenna is not a standardized method, but it is sometimes possible under the best conditions, hence with no guarantee of reception.

The standard is an external directive UHF antenna on the roof, with 10 dBi, at 10 meters above ground level.

In case of no terrestrial reception (shadow or white zone), you can use cable, ADSL, or satellite TV, Fransat or Tntsat.

For my part, it wasn't a mistake on my end. The connections were made correctly. There was no antenna or whatever to put up.
The guy who installed the wall socket made a mess, and without an electrician, I wouldn't have any channels today..
I have built-in digital terrestrial television and I just plugged it in as I explained at the beginning, and no problems, I have loads of channels that I can see perfectly well ;)
