Hello,
For the past few days I have been unsuccessfully trying to install Windows 7 Starter on an SD card. So I'm reaching out to you to find out how to do it. I have at my disposal a 16GB SD card, a 16GB USB drive, and a computer running Windows Vista.

Configuration: Linux / Firefox 14.0.1

    Hi

Anyway, 16GB is too little to install Windows 7, you need a minimum of 20 to 25GB even for Starter.

Furthermore, Windows is not a "portable" OS like Linux, it must be installed on an internal hard drive or SSD.

2° Google is your friend, the search engine of CCM as well, do a search!

Yes, I recommend a good XP over a little Windows 7.

And why install it on an SD card?
If you want to use your SD card on any PC and boot from it, you can stop right now because it won't work (the same goes if you do this with a USB stick).

I had Starter on my Netbook. But I installed Linux on my SSD and I would like to have Starter on my SD card, so I can switch to working on my university courses on Starter and do the rest on Linux.

Yes, but it was already installed, you didn't get it on CD, so you can't install it on your SD card ;)

You can install Linux and Windows on the same PC by setting up a dual-boot.
At startup, you will have the choice to boot into Windows 7 or Linux.
