Here’s what I found on the internet:
turn off and then turn on the mobile
- remove and then reinsert the SIM card
- activate and then deactivate Airplane mode for 10 seconds
- leave the phone off overnight
- restore the iPhone via iTunes, then set it up as a New iPhone and then accept the network update.
- reset the settings, network settings, and finally "erase content and settings" via settings.
The message "waiting for activation" appears and finally "iPhone is activated".
If that doesn't work, contact Free.
Keep us updated if it worked!

I tried with my iPhone, I really followed the procedure but unfortunately I lost all the settings and I can't go back to them while the problem was with the networks. I suppose the procedure wasn't correct... I am very disappointed!!!!

This maneuver worked for me! Thanks for the advice!

Finally, I found the 15min network and then lost it again. Does anyone have any idea why?
Finally, he detected it. I started following the steps: choosing the language, the country, the Wi-Fi network, and then comes the activation step of the iPhone, which I believe is the most important. And there it tells me your iPhone couldn't be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. Try connecting your iPhone to iTunes to activate it or try again in 2 minutes.
If the problem persists, contact Apple support.
I try again in 2 minutes, NOTHING.
On my PC, iTunes says no SIM card is installed in the iPhone you are trying to activate. Disconnect it and insert a SIM card!!
I did it, NOTHING. I'm desperate here!!
Any idea of what we can do here??

By the way, I don't know if it means anything or not, but when I turn it on at first it shows a network bar without the name of the network (in my case, it's FREE) and then it shows network unavailable. I've tried resetting the network settings
NOTHING, then I tried resetting all settings NOTHING!!
NOTHING, then I tried resetting all settings NOTHING!!
Personally, I had an intermittent network since this summer... for a week it was becoming a huge hassle, I could hardly ever make a call...
I tried everything, I called Free a thousand times, called Orange (it was originally an Orange 3Gs), called Apple... nothing, nothing, nothing!
I changed the SIM card, did cross tests... Nothing, nothing, nothing!
I reset it three times...
I took a screwdriver, I completely disassembled the device...
Nothing, nothing, nothing!
In the end, I tried turning off 3G... and oh miracle! Since then I have a network... if I turn it back on... I lose it, and when I turn it off, oh miracle I have network again...
I conclude that my iPhone 3Gs has a problem with roaming between the Free network and the Orange network...
Too bad for 3G... at least I can make phone calls again
I hope this message can help you a bit... keep me updated!
Good luck to you!

So after I reset it, I noticed it was taking too long to restart, stuck on the Apple logo!!!!! In any case, more than 2 hours and 30 minutes, I searched for a solution for iPhone stuck after reset.
Here’s what I found!!
iPhone turned off, connected via USB, iTunes running.
You need to enter DFU mode:
- press Home for 5 seconds
- While still holding Home, press Power: 10 seconds
- While still holding Home, release Power and keep holding Home for 30 seconds
iTunes responds and detects an iPhone in recovery mode, confirm, and the iPhone will be restored.
Then no more problems.

Hello
I have exactly the same problem as you on my 3GS for the past 24 hours...
It happened all of a sudden, even while I was using the phone's cellular network.
Orange SIM card: nothing, network unavailable.
Bell SIM card: nothing, network unavailable (I’m in Canada).
I just restored it: nothing either...
I don't know what to do anymore! It seems dead...
If you find out, I’m curious to know!!
Thank you
Nicolas

I tested it for the first time, it didn't work completely since when I plug it in, it's recognized after the normal manipulation, the restoration is estimated to take about 17 minutes, but mine only lasted a maximum of 4 minutes!!
I'm trying my luck again and I'll keep you updated!!

Remove the screen block, the connector (7) at the bottom right is certainly disconnected.
Remove the two screws under the iPhone, using a suction cup that you place just above the home button to pull gently, especially, and check that it is properly connected.

Hello, can someone please help me? Thank you. I actually have a second-hand 16 GB iPhone 4, and when I put my SIM card in it, there is a network signal, but after a few minutes, it drops to one bar and then shows no signal. What could be the problem? Thank you.
Put the iPhone in airplane mode for about ten seconds, take it off, restart your iPhone, and it should be fine.
Same problem for 7 days....
I just spent my morning and afternoon looking for solutions, then restoring and so on and nothing, no network!
I'm despairing!

Hello, I bought an iPhone 3GS from a private seller last Monday (August 20th). It was completely new; she had bought it from Virgin Mobile (Orange network), and I am a customer of Orange. Until last night, it was working perfectly. It turned off due to battery depletion, so I charged it and turned it back on, and now it says "network unavailable." I removed and reinserted the SIM card, but I get a brief message that says "SIM card failure." When I connect it to the computer via iTunes, it says no SIM card inserted, even though it is there, and the card works perfectly in my old mobile! I'm really upset; I paid 220 euros for it :(. I don’t want to scare you, but according to my Orange customer service, the SIM card reader might be faulty. I contacted the person who sold it to me, and fortunately, she is very honest; she will send me the invoice by email and will do what is necessary for it to be exchanged.
I experienced exactly the same thing and I admit I panicked. I had removed my SIM to use it as a simple iPod and was able to connect it to iTunes this way. I tried putting my SIM card back in, but it kept saying network unavailable. I connected it to iTunes, it wouldn't recognize it, so I unplugged it from my PC, turned my iPhone off, and then back on before reconnecting it to my PC. And just like magic, iTunes recognized my iPhone and the network came back. I can't explain it, but in any case, it works again, so I think there's no need to do much; I just reset "all settings".
Good luck to you!

Hello everyone,
My brother had the same issue; when he activated 3G or Wi-Fi, he had full signal on the SIM card. Without 3G or Wi-Fi activated, he had NO NETWORK AVAILABLE
Solution that worked for him:
I went to
Settings / General / Reset / Reset Network Settings
=> OK!
I hope it will be the same for you.
