USB drive no program is associated with this...

Hello,

For some time now, when I insert a USB drive, the message "No program is associated with this file to perform this action. Install a program or, if it is already installed, create an association in the Control Panel Default Programs."

I found this issue on Google only related to other actions and not to a USB drive.

I can still open my USB drives through devices.

Thank you

Configuration: Windows 7 / Opera 9.80

I had the same problem, and I eventually found a solution.
They say to check in the control panel.
    So, I did this:
    - Control Panel
    - Default Programs
    - Change AutoPlay settings
Make sure the box: "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices" is checked
Then scroll down and click "Reset to defaults"
And that's it, it's fixed (with a 3-year delay, but it's fixed anyway!)

Try removing your data and right-clicking, format.

      Hello,
I have more than 10 USB drives, each with the same problem. I don’t think formatting will change anything.

Alright, are your drivers up to date?

Have you configured an automatic execution when inserting this USB key? If so, it's possible that when you plug in your USB key, a software tries to launch but cannot find the one you specified earlier.
If that's the case, you will resolve your issue by following the instructions in this topic: https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-2105988-desactiver-execution-automatique-avec

No, initially a window opened to ask me what I wanted to do. I didn't set up any automatic execution.

Take a look at this, it should solve your problem:

      Thank you, but nothing works.

I don't have "AutoExecute" in properties.
      The command "gpedit.msc" doesn't work.
      I don't have "NoDriveTypeAutoRun".
And the last solution is reserved for XP.
