Hello,
I would like to restore my Compaq Presario CQ61-204SF, and I'm looking for where to download the recovery images. (It runs on Vista Basic 32b SP1)
If someone knows a link that could be useful to me, that would be nice.
Thank you.

Thank you for your response toadangel.
I need to reinstall a Compaq Presario CQ61-204SF Model VF268EA laptop.
The hard drive is completely formatted (so no recovery and no boot). Ideally, I would like to find an .iso for each of the 3 DVDs on a file-sharing server like Rapidshare or something similar. Otherwise, I would appreciate if someone could kindly send them to me via email, for example, or send a copy by mail with costs at my expense, of course. -
It seems to me that HP recovery DVDs are numbered 538732-051 for the cq61-204sf.

€ 38.27 is outrageous, especially since the license is included with the purchase.
I'm simply looking for someone who has a cq61 (except for the 140SK or the 240 EK, as the DVDs are not the same) and who would kindly share the .iso files on a site, or someone who knows if such a link already exists on the web. -
Oh well, that's the price, but you had to do it or not lose your restoration DVDs ;)
I wish you good luck and hope you find someone who can fulfill your request. -
Thank you anyway for your response, I am looking for ...

Hello,
The restoration DVDs contain Windows, so it is illegal to exchange them "just like that" without permission. -
But no, the license has already been purchased, the recovery options cannot be installed on another type of PC (Pavilion, CQ71, ...), their creation is legal upon purchase, it is even recommended by HP.
Well, maybe if one day you lose the keys to your apartment, your landlord will charge you for the duplicates in their possession, which wouldn't be cool.
What is outrageous is that PC manufacturers don't want to spend money providing recovery CDs at the time of purchase and don't provide them for free in case of loss. Money is money.
Basically, you buy a PC that doesn't belong to you. It's better to avoid the big brands.
Anyway, does anyone have a CQ61? That's my question. -
I am not talking about the license, just Windows.
