Keyboard issue on Packard Bell

Hello,
Recently, when I turned on my laptop (Packard Bell Easynote MH 36), I wanted to enter the password for my session, but most of the keys on my keyboard are not working.
The tab, caps lock, and function keys work, but not the letters or numbers.
I tried plugging in a USB keyboard, but I have exactly the same problem as with my laptop's keyboard.
Does anyone have an idea of how to solve this issue?

Hey!
On your login screen (where you enter your password), you should see a small keyboard icon at the bottom left (maybe in Windows Seven and Vista?). If you click on it, you'll get the virtual keyboard, and you can use the mouse to enter your password.
After that, do an update on your PC, maybe that's where the issue is coming from; with HP, you never know what to expect... lol.
Otherwise, you should have options on the login screen at the top (accessibility options).

(My startup page looks like this: http://www.reference-pc.fr/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/desactiver-motdepasse.jpg)
Is there a way to add a virtual keyboard at startup?
