maybe a small preliminary remark
the HDMI connected to the TV does not trigger any external automatic "source" switching as the SCART used to. So make sure and as a precaution connect this whole little setup with the devices turned off;
- Note well the number written next to the HDMI on the TV, for example HDMI 1
- with the TV remote, while the TV is on or you must find a button with a symbol that looks like a TV screen with an arrow entering (with your manual it is easier because each brand uses its own symbol) you will then see a selection menu appear, for example

-AV2
-HDMI 1-HDMI 2
-composite
ETC select the input source plugged into your TV (the number of the socket) turn on the source (PC HDMI output) then a dialogue between the devices will occur and generally at the first connection an image format indication appears, it is an optimal format for this device (for example 1080X720) select that and it will work. You can still, as indicated to you, adjust the parameters of your PC's video card but remember that a TV screen, unless there are exceptions, cannot display the "top" that your PC screen allows, otherwise a black screen = cannot do it!

I am using Windows 7 and the shortcut/fast setup of my laptop (less than 2 years old) happened almost automatically. There is a condition though the first time: devices off, plug HDMI cable, turn on the devices, and switch the TV to the mode (find the synonym for your TV with the remote) "External audio-visual source" TV/AV from another era, then you must always with the TV remote choose the source (slot number or the computer is connected, e.g. HDMI 1). It may happen that your TV offers an optimal video format such as 1030 x 720 p (these numbers are fictitious) valid and it should work. Each session you will need to manually select this source because there is no automatic recognition (AV switch) as in the old SCART/PAL era. And finally, be careful never to disconnect an HDMI cable while in operation; turn off the computer at least.

BUT precisely, my problem is that I can’t do a screen share, because since my PC screen is black, I can’t work on it!!

And IF I unplug the HDMI cable, my PC doesn’t recognize my TV monitor, so I can’t click on it (it doesn’t accept it, it’s grey… = I can’t click on it)

Conclusion: I’m blocked and I don’t know how to make the image from the TV appear back on the PC...

Because currently, the image of my "desktop" is displayed on the TV but my PC screen is black!
We’ll have to reverse the process and then I’ll be able to configure screen sharing because I’ll be able to work on the PC!
