Hello,

Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 536.5

I notice there are many questions about unresolved scanners. I hope my case will get an answer.

I have a Touch 65 -wedge RS232 scanner. I plugged it into my laptop with a USB adapter. The manufacturer's software recognizes the scanner through its Aladdin software. When I configure the scanner, in the Aladdin software's terminal tab, the book's barcode is read, so it works, but....

The problem is when I want that barcode to be read in the bcdi express software or even in WordPad. Nothing happens. I pressed Shift. Nothing.

So I have a scanner that works in the manufacturer's software but not in the free library software for school. How can I solve this problem??

I have more than 500 books to enter and no other credit to buy a new reader ;))))

Thanks for your help.

Hello, so I’m the one who wrote the previous message, so this has nothing to do with the serial cable.

First of all, here is the French documentation explaining the steps to configure the scanner:

    http://docs-europe.electrocomponents.com/webdocs/04d4/0900766b804d4936.pdf

Then, to check if it works correctly, open a text file, switch to uppercase on the keyboard, then scan the barcode number; it should display.

Small caveat: I can’t scan 1 to 9, but all the other digits work; I don’t know why it won’t take 1 to 9.

    HOPING THIS HELPS YOU

    HAVE A NICE DAY
