Find my missing touchpad Solved

Hello,

If you allow me, I have two questions:

My personal laptop Toshiba L350, Windows Vista 32-bit,
1st question/ I believe I accidentally deleted the Synaptics touchpad driver (it no longer appears in control panel/mouse, I only have the mouse) and therefore I kindly ask you to indicate all the possibilities to find it in the different parts of my PC from the registry, hard drives, etc. I need to find it because I’m not sure if it’s related to my keyboard which is locked.

2nd question/ I tried to download another touchpad and I managed to get it into the control panel/mouse, but everything is greyed out and it seems inactive; how can I make it functional?
I absolutely need to find a solution to unlock both my keyboard and my touchpad.

Hello, I do indeed find the driver corresponding to the Touch Pad: this driver. It can be downloaded by clicking on "tpdrv-20080416144111.zip"  -- ------------------- Sincerely, Clément

To find the driver, you can go to the Toshiba website, in the downloads and drivers section, by entering the following search parameters:
Laptops / Equium / L Series / L350 / All / Vista 32bits / Touch Pad Driver
And you can download your driver.

Thank you, I will try this suggestion and I'll keep you informed, because what bothers me the most is especially the complete keyboard lock, not just the touchpad; if it were just the touchpad, I would have given up.

PS/ By the way, please let me know if the keyboard and the touchpad go together, does one affect the other?

Hello Clément,I was finally able to download what you gave me, namely "tpdrv-20080416144111.zip". I unzipped it and added it to the "programs and features" in the control panel, I ran it as an administrator but it does not appear in "mouse", "mouse properties" and "systems" "device manager". As a result, the device table "settings layouts" of "mouse" is empty and so the touchpad is still inactive despite the download. It seems to me that it is Windows that is blocking me, in fact it indicated this to me in a window telling me "if I want to unblock the touchpad file, I need to click on "unblock the file" in "startup programs", but when I click on it, nothing happens; I am really disappointed.Please help me, I need to get my keyboard and touchpad back which have been blocked for 8 days now, and since these 8 days I have been deprived of my PC.
