Permanent marker stain on LCD

Solved

Hello,

my little 3-year-old boy is discovering mischief; indeed, he took my permanent marker and scribbled on the TV stand, then made a big, beautiful stroke of permanent marker on my LCD TV screen. How can I erase it without making a mess myself? I managed to clean the stand with Cif, but the screen???? No, I'm not going to use Cif, lol, so please help me, lol.
Thanks in advance
Isabelle.

Hello

definitely no acetone, as recommended by Tobar

LCD screens are a type of polycarbonate (a bit like PVC) and acetone is a burning product, which will permanently mark the screen

better to follow Majon's tip

or try using lens cleaning wipes, which are designed for cleaning organic lenses

I copied a mask onto a layer on the screen with a marker that went through the page, disaster, the computer is barely 3 months old, a big blunder as my son said, shows that adults make mistakes too. A miracle with cotton and perfume, everything is gone, thank you a thousand times for the advice, plus my computer smells nice now ;)

Hello for the Marseille soap screen with water is a soft sponge then rinse nothing more natural especially do not use the famous miracle cleaning bombs based on alcohol or solvents sold in supermarkets even if it's made for they are very aggressive damage the LCD panel and the plastic.

My cousin had fun with a marker and put it on my tablet, but the problem is that it's red. So, I followed lots of tips but unfortunately, it discolored it. Then I took a red highlighter and applied it, I rubbed with a cotton ball, and it returned to how it was before!

Hello, my little cousin made a big mistake; he took a permanent marker and put it on my red tablet. I managed to remove most of the stains, but it discolored it, so I took a red highlighter and applied it. I grabbed a cotton pad and rubbed it, and my tablet looks brand new!

Hello,

A magical product to remove marker without scrubbing is acetone; you put some on a cloth, gently wipe it, and it should come off.
I don't think it poses any danger to your LCD, considering there's a glass panel, but I still recommend trying it in a small corner first before applying it everywhere.

Let me know if it worked...

NO, this is not glass, be careful with acetone. You need to find a solvent that doesn't eat away at the plastic (contact the customer service of the marker in question; the number or email should be on the product).
Hello anyway.

I've cleaned it with a cotton pad and some perfume, it works, it's miraculous lol. That doesn't mean I'll let my permanent marker within reach of my little rascal again. Thanks for all your advice!
