HP Photosmart C4680 Printer Problem Solved

Question

Hello,

I have an HP Photosmart C4680 printer, and it has gone into pause mode.
As a result, I can no longer print anything. The files are stacked in the queue, and I cannot do anything about it. I have tried deleting them and putting them back, but the printer does not respond.

Do you have a solution to get it out of "pause" mode?

Actually, I just solved the problem :p

I simply went to the page where the pending documents are located, then I unchecked "Suspend printing" in the printer tab :)

Hello, I might be asking a silly question, but have you tried deleting the pending files on the PC and unplugging all the cables (USB and power) from your printer?

Yes, that's what I indicated ;)

But maybe I expressed myself poorly.

I simply meant to say that even though I delete the files from the queue and then add them back, it doesn't change the fact that I can't print them.

Yes yes, I read that well. I was just asking if you had also tried unplugging the cables from your printer. Sometimes the device is poorly recognized, and it’s enough to unplug and replug the USB cable on the printer, the back of the tower, and the outlet.

It's already done as well ;)  Despite 2 or 3 attempts, it hasn't changed anything.

In the control panel, when you right-click on the printer, check that the option to pause printing is not checked (if it hasn't been done already ;) )

Click on Troubleshoot and follow the instructions; it will search for problems and try to offer you a solution.

You can see that there's no problem ^^

Do you have your printer's software installed? If so, try printing a test page. While you're at it, try changing the USB port; it might be defective (for example: not enough power).

Normally, the software that allows you to scan also provides other options to calibrate the cartridges, align the print heads, and print a test page; on certain HP models, it is called the Toolbox.
