Hello,
When I went to the Start > All Programs... section, I could find a folder that led me to a driver ( ?) named, I believe, "Empowering..." in order to reset the laptop to "factory" settings.
Today, I can no longer do that. I'm a bit lost...
Could you please help me out?
Thank you. :)
Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 536.5

Hello
See this.
https://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/8775-restaurer-un-ordinateur-acer-a-son-etat-d-usine
But you may have deleted the Acer eRecovery Management partition
Who loves instruction! find the knowledge that comes from reflection!
PS. Frequently create a restore point! it solves quite a few problems. -
To check if you haven't deleted it, you can right-click on Computer (or My Computer for XP) > manage > storage manager > hard drive
and your partitions will appear.
There should normally be one called "RECOVERY". -
Hello,
Thank you for your help, but I had already found a solution before you intervened. However, I hope that your assistance will be useful to others who find themselves in the same situation that led me to come here.
I will still provide the steps that helped me get through it. Here they are:
Start > All Programs > Maintenance > Backup and Restore. This is where you can create a backup and "restore system settings or your computer."
Best regards.
