Mouse jumping issue Solved

Hello,

I just got an ASUS K35S laptop that’s giving me a problem: my mouse cursor jumps around constantly, selects things, and does whatever it wants!! It’s very difficult to type this message, for example... It opens and closes windows without me even touching the touchpad. Any thoughts? I really need it. Thanks in advance.

Well, you need to go to the control panel, then to mouse, and in the device tab, you select your touchpad and set it to disable.

It seems like there's a problem with your touchpad. Try disabling your touchpad and plugging in a mouse to see if it gets better.

Thank you for this quick response!!! Unfortunately, my mouse keeps playing tricks on me!!! Any other ideas? P.S.: I was able to write this message without coming back every 30 seconds, but it still skips a bit...

So you are using a mouse and not your touchpad? Have you properly disabled your touchpad? If you did that and you are using a mouse, then unplug it and see if it changes.

Often on laptops, there is a button next to the touchpad (often at the top); if not, check in the device manager to see if you can find the touchpad to disable it. Otherwise, let me know, and I will give you other solutions.
