One of my two screens won't turn on!

Hello,
I just bought a computer in parts with a new screen. This screen being of a new generation, it has a DVI output that I connected to my graphics card (an AMD Radeon HD 7800 series) and everything works perfectly.
As for the second screen (which was connected to my old PC and works), it is older and has a VGA output (my graphics card only has one input), so I connected it to my motherboard, but when starting the computer, it lights up and then goes directly to standby.

The screen of your old PC doesn't have the same resolution as your new one or it is incompatible with your new setup.

Most graphics cards have two outputs: 1 VGA and 1 DVI (VGA in blue or black and DVI in white).
Do you only have one video output?

If you are on Win 7, press the Windows logo key + P.
Click on Duplicate or Extend.
See if there is any change.
