Hello;   I would like to know how to open a Bin file on a Mac. What software should I use to decompress it?   Thank you in advance.

I eventually found it by myself... Bin files are disk images... on Mac, just launch Disk Utility (Application > Utility > ...) then File > Open > this will create a new disk.... there you go.

Hi, I have the same problem, except that the file doesn’t appear when I try to open it with Disk Utility.
In fact, as soon as I load a file, it doesn't open.
Like the .sit... it's strange.
Yet Office 2004 worked well; it's to the point that it puts its icons on all my downloaded compressed files.
Is there anyone who can help me?

It's crazy how you can read anything on this forum! Please, before suggesting a solution, test it...  .bin is indeed a disk image. And you can mount it with Toast.

Otherwise, make sure to have the latest version of Expander here: http://www.stuffit.com/mac/expander/index.html
it's the one that decompresses the .bin file on Mac by default.

Hello,  I had the same problem as you with VLC, you just need to go to the audio tab and change the audio track until you find the one that works.  Leo

To mount/extract a .bin file accompanied by a .cue file on Mac,
use Roxio Toast 10, and in the Toast utility menu, select "Mount Disk Image..." and choose your .bin file. Toast will then mount the disk image from the bin file on the Mac's finder/desktop.
