Microphone issue, not working despite being activated. Solved

Hello,I just bought a new PC, and my microphone isn't working. When I go to the control panel, I can see the "microphone network" is enabled (green icon), but the green gauge never rises, even when I speak. All my drivers are supposedly up to date, so I don’t understand what the problem is. Hello,  How long has the problem been occurring?  After an update?  Don't you have a button on the headset to activate?  What drivers do you have in the device manager → Audio, video, and game controllers? Please provide a screenshot.  Disconnect all peripherals from the computer if you have any. Shut down the PC and then restart it.   Plug in your headset/microphone. Run the Windows troubleshooter. Settings → Update & Security → Troubleshoot. Click on → Playing Audio. Note down any error messages if you have any. Please provide a screenshot.   Restart the audio driver Keyboard keys Windows + R Type → services.msc Select → Windows Audio Stop the service and then start it again Click OK

Hello,  Run a driver detection on My Drivers Download and run Mes_Drivers_3.0.4.exe Uncheck beta version and check certified drivers only. Confirm everything and scroll down the page.   Check if it offers you drivers for: - Realtek High Definition Audio - Intel(R) UHD Graphics video card - Intel (audio) Capture everything if you want and post it in your next message.  Your Realtek High Definition Audio is apparently not up to date. The latest version is 6.0.1.8454 You should see it during the detection. Otherwise, it's here I have this driver and also the sound manager that goes with it when my headset is detected.   For the driver Intel Smart Sound Technology 10 23 0 2672 A- Check if My Drivers found a driver.  B- Right-click on Intel Smart Sound Technology Driver Choose update driver → Click on "Browse..." → Let me pick from a list of drivers> Uncheck the "Show compatible hardware" box Click / Choose "Microsoft" as the manufacturer Choose / Select "High Definition Audio Controller" Click Next....  C- If it doesn't work: Uninstall it from the device manager Restart the PC Audio (speakers and headset) should work after the restart. (let's hope). Check the procedure  Good luck.  See you later.

Hello,  Not sure this will work even with the updated graphics driver. I must have another lead in mind.  For the Intel UHD Graphics 620 driver You have an OEM driver (that is, from the manufacturer). It is a DCH driver. General information about this - Windows DCH drivers are driver packages that are installed and run on Windows® 10 Universal Windows Platform (UWP)-based editions. - Following Microsoft's requirements, the Intel® Graphics Control Panel will no longer be included with the graphics driver. It will now be downloaded and installed automatically when you connect to the internet. The Intel Graphics Control Panel can also be downloaded from the Microsoft Store. Intel and Microsoft have collaborated to make this transition as seamless as possible. Your daily experience should not be affected.  Source  Try to update it like this. Start by creating a restore point just in case.  Go to the graphics driver page → Intel® Graphics - Windows  You have the .exe and a zip.  Take the zip here  Download the free version of Winrar  Once the driver is downloaded, place it on the Desktop. Right-click on the archive and then → Extract to igfx_win10_100.7000 Open the folder igfx_win10_100.7000 Run → igxpin   If this does not work: Go to Device Manager Right-click on Intel UHD Graphics 620 → Update driver Then → Browse my computer for driver software  Facing → Search for drivers in this location Click on → Browse Click on your User Name then Desktop Select → igfx_win10_100.7000   A+

2 or 3 things to check:  - Right-click on the taskbar → Taskbar Settings In the notification area section, click on the line → Turn system icons on or off Make sure the Microphone box is checked (it's at the bottom, the Micro icon).   Go to Sound Double-click on your speakers. Go to the tab → Enhancements Check the box → Disable all sound effects Then OK  Same for the Microphone.   Also saw this (a clumsy move). I didn't push the jack plug fully into the remote, so I had sound in the headphones but no microphone >_< I'm such a fool ^^ For you only → Push the jack plug all the way in (had a similar issue with a USB key once, go figure)  A+
