Get the precise time with VLC

Hello,

Hi,
I'm using VLC 2.0.1 and I can't find how to get the precise time (00:00:00:0000 or something like that).
It's for making subtitles... so it needs to be quite precise >< !

    Finding your question relevant, I went to ask the VLC developers on their forum, response:
    no precise timer...too bad!
