Screen flickering, a rare Pokémon?

Hello everyone, I'm here to ask about something that's bothering me quite a bit: Sometimes when I play, every 5-6 squares my screen starts making a little crackling sound, and I've checked, the legendary Pokémon I'm tracking is on the other side of the map! This happened to me on Route 212 and at the Rest Area. Could it be a rare Pokémon? Thanks in advance ;)

    In my Pokémon Diamond and Pearl game, as I understood from the description, there was no buzzing at any time. It may be a problem with your DS or your game card.

    How would you describe the state of your DS?

    -recent purchase

    -like new

    -scratched screen

    -impossible to resell *

    -end of console use

    *broken hinge, scratched screen, no longer detects the stylus.

      I have 3 DS at home: one "like new," one "impossible to resell" (but it works very well, it's something easily repairable), and one "recent purchase." I have this issue with the first two, I haven't tried the third one!

    Hello.
    I just started playing Soulsilver and Black 2, and to my surprise, the same crackling sound. But I tested it: when I have a Pokémon that is poisoned, it makes this sound, but not for other status problems. Note: I also switched to a 3DS XL.

    I have the same "crackling," but only when I move in a long straight line. Strangely, it disappears when I heal my Pokemon at the center. Maybe they're trying to give me a sign? LOL
    It might be the DS. Mine is 3 years old.

      No, I don't think so. Because it does that even when they are in shape. But most of the time, it's when I play late at night...

      After checking, indeed, the DS makes this noise when I have a poisoned Pokémon, but only at night. I know it's weird.

      It happens to me without any Pokémon being fainted, asleep, paralyzed, or poisoned, that's mainly what I find strange...

    It's a game on R4, M3, or on a Nintendo cartridge.

      You can’t do anything about it, it’s the game. Either re-download another one or make do with it.

      Mine is an original cartridge. And it does the same thing on different versions of the game (HeartGold, Pearl, and Black...)

      It happened to me with the original Diamond cartridge (and not used, so in perfect condition) in addition to that one (Soulsilver), it's frustrating not to know what it is...
