Hello, since yesterday, when I try to log into Facebook, it tells me that it is under maintenance. To be exact, it says "Facebook will be back shortly
The Facebook site is under maintenance and will be available again in a few hours. In the meantime, click here to learn more about this message. Thank you for your patience."
It has been like this for a day now! Is it just me experiencing this?

Yes, I think you are one of the only ones to have this message because I can connect very well.
You can try to connect to another Facebook, that is to say not www.facebook.com
but rather
www.facebook.com/login.php?login_attempt=1
let me know if it still doesn't work.

  2 pieces of information that I have>
  1/ the migration to timeline seems a bit more complicated than what Facebook thought. some accounts are affected
  2/ the migration of servers from Ontario (USA) to Luleå (Sweden) is also underway. some accounts, and more specifically accounts located in Europe may be affected.

  So, I'm lucky this morning I finally managed to connect without any issues after three days of hassle (good luck to you, I empathize, in any case, you are sure to recover your accounts, it's just a matter of time.

  So I just waited about 2 days and when I logged in, nothing had changed, it was exactly as I had left it. If you’re in the same situation as me, you're going to recover your FB, don't worry. However, it might take a little more or less time, maybe 24 hours or more, who knows. Hang in there! ;)

Hello everyone. It's the same for me
it's been two days and a few hours now that I can no longer log in to Facebook. Here is the message that appears after trying to log in:

The problem is that I haven't been waiting for "a few hours" to log in but for 2 days. I wanted to know if this is normal, if this has happened to any of you (considering that when I log in with another account everything works fine), and if I will recover my account at some point? I hope so anyway (x

  Yes, I tested it but nothing works, I even tried on my phone and on a friend's computer but it still doesn't work, the same message keeps appearing all the time :S

  Same for me! Luckily, I'm not banned from Twitter because that would be too much!
  Even when I log in from my iPhone, it doesn't work on another browser.

  I’m in the same situation as some people here. Since last night, Facebook is undergoing maintenance. So, they are quite nice about the “few hours,” it's been two days. Sure, it's not the end of the world. But I would like to know if I need to create a new account? It’s not hacking, at least? -__-

strange. facebook's servers are organized so that the site is NEVER offline, even during maintenance. so you have to look elsewhere...
open another browser (one that you've never used with facebook, which therefore doesn't contain your username/password)
and come back, if you want.

I think it’s useless to wait and that it’s not the Facebook site that has a problem but rather your account. So yes, maybe it was hacked, but I don’t see why it would display this message.

  I also have the same message since yesterday afternoon, whether on my iPod or my PC. I searched a bit on the internet, and it's not the first time this has happened; some people say that in 2009, they didn't have Facebook for 5 days.   It reassures me not to be the only one, but when I see that some still haven't recovered their accounts after 2 weeks and are still waiting, it’s scary.. Moreover, I have a lot of important things and long-distance friends on FB, it would really bother me to start all over again :s I asked a friend to check my wall and my account is supposedly unavailable, it’s as if I no longer exist on FB, does this happen to you too?

Even when I try to change my password, it doesn't send the link via SMS or email. I don't know what to do anymore :( When I go on my iPhone, it won't load even though I'm connected.
