Facebook Messenger: waiting for network

Hello,

I've had Messenger for about 7 months and I've never had any issues. However, since yesterday, when I open Messenger, it shows "connecting..." in the bar for a second and then "Waiting for network." It's annoying because I can't receive messages and I can't send any either.

PS: I have a Sony Xperia M and I'm with Free.

Go to settings --> applications --> messenger, then tap on "clear cache." If the problem persists, repeat the same process but this time tap on "clear data."
