Hello everyone,
after hearing that you could boost your PC with a USB key by creating flash memory and that you couldn't do it on Windows XP, I saw that you could create RAM.
I read a tutorial but I still have a few questions,
on XP there's a limit of 2GB of RAM, if I add a few GB from a USB key, will it be taken into account?
Looking at the properties, I saw that there was 1400MB dedicated from my C drive, however I don’t see any differences, especially when I open the task manager > performance, does this really affect the speed of my PC
(for your information, I have 2 sticks of 512MB on my PC)
Thanks in advance ;)
Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 7.0

The simplest way is to buy RAM =) On XP, normally 32-bit, you can install a maximum of 4GB (3.25GB recognized at most, but you can't cut your sticks ^^).
So, yes, you can create flash using space from your hard drive, but I don't really recommend it.

This software will allow you to get all the information about your RAM so you can buy some ;)
It's safer, and I don't think you need to spend a lot ^^

After searching a lot, you always end up finding a solution... Sometimes, it's a bad one!

I have 32-bit XP but I thought the MAX was 2GB, after that it's not from the hard drive but from a USB stick. The advantage is that I can put much more on an 8GB stick that I don't use than just buy a RAM stick.
That's why I wanted some information on the questions I'm asking myself.
Thanks anyway ;)

Well, after all, what I can say is that through a Hard Drive, you can grab flash memory, that's true.
Via a USB, I don't know ^^ But I don't think it's super useful if you want my opinion. I'd lean more towards a RAM upgrade that won't cost you much.
If anyone knows how to do it with a USB stick, please share the concrete solution, I'm interested anyway x)
And yes, XP 32 bits = 3.25 GB
