Hello,
I would like to reset my computer to its factory settings, but despite multiple searches, I haven’t been able to succeed.
I am on Windows XP Home Edition
And the brand of my computer is Fujitsu Siemens Computers. It's a model that is about 5-6 years old.
There you go
Thank you in advance.

Here's the procedure to restore a Fujitsu without a CD.
1. Turn on your computer
or: If the computer is already on, turn it off, wait a moment, and turn it back on.
2. During boot-up, press the F8 key repeatedly until the "Advanced Boot Options" menu appears. You may need to repeat this until you can open the menu.
3. In the "Advanced Boot Options" menu, the "Repair your Computer" option is offered. If it is not, use the up/down arrow keys to select "Repair your Computer" and confirm by pressing the Enter key.
4. Once Windows has loaded some files, "System Recovery Options" appears. Under "Select a language," choose the language, and under "Choose a keyboard layout:" select the keyboard format you are using. The language is generally automatically recognized by the system and grayed out. Click on "Next."
5. Under "User Name:", type in your username and "Password." The username is also presented to you in the dropdown menu, accessible by clicking the black triangle. If you have not set a password for the selected user, leave the "Password" field blank. Then click on "OK."
6. In the next "System Recovery Options" menu, select the "Fujitsu Siemens Computers Recovery" option and the associated item "Easy backup and recovery of your system."
7. Select "Restore factory default settings" and click on "Next."
8. In the "Restore factory default settings" menu, under "Select source," choose the option "From hard disk (recommended)," and confirm with "Next."
9. The following message draws your attention to the fact that all data will be lost. Once this message is confirmed, your system will be restored. At the end of the restoration process, a completion message will be displayed.
10. Select "Exit" to finalize the process.
11. In the following "System Recovery Options" menu, select "Restart."
12. After the restart, you will need to make some additional adjustments. For this, follow the on-screen instructions.

already tried but get stuck at step 2 because I think the computer model I have is not recent...

But I don't have the "repair your computer" function displayed, how can I do that?
Strange that F8 is not working.
What is the state of the computer, is it functioning?
Can you get to the desktop?
Is there a "Recovery" partition?
Do you have the XP CD? If so, you can reinstall XP without losing your data, but you must first securely download all the drivers for your computer from the Fujitsu website....
