"Windows was not shut down properly!"

Hello,

I noticed the problem yesterday. When I started my Acer laptop running Windows Vista, I got a message during startup saying "windows was not shut down properly." And a whole text that seems pointless...

* I never paid attention to what it said. Maybe it has always been the case (possible) and it was just nonsense. But why my PC suddenly stopped working?

Day to day, I had installed an antivirus. Could that be the cause?

"Normal startup" doesn't work. The screen stays black with the cursor visible for a very long time (over an hour), and when I finally get past that stage, nothing works 'normally'; I can't even establish a network connection, etc.

So, I am in safe mode just to surf the net and ask for help.
It looks terrible, everything is oversized.

In my opinion, we should 'restart the computer', but I don't have any CDs. Nor anything else for that matter.

If I remember correctly, I think I had this problem before. But I don't know, I don't remember.

THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME IN ANY WAY.

Hi, yes maybe the antivirus deleted something essential for Windows
and no need to reinstall, you can ask a friend to lend you the Windows CD and repair it, it will do it on its own
did you think about the restore point before this problem?
