Actually, it's as simple as pie.

You go here 192.168.1.1/index2.html

login:admin pass:admin

Security, firewall, set it to minimum and submit.

Then you go to eMule, in preferences, connection, and enter client port 4662 in TCP and 4672 in UDP, (or the eMule suggestion) apply > ok.

You return here 192.168.1.1/index2.html

Click on "Configuration," Advanced, Router

Click on Add in service:
Custom Service: Emule_TCP
Protocol: TCP
External Port: 4662 (or suggestion)
Internal Port: 4662

The IP address: copy and paste your IP from the bottom right.

Submit.

Click on Add in service:
Custom Service: Emule_UDP
Protocol: UDP
External Port: 4672 (or suggestion)
Internal Port: 4672

The IP address: copy and paste your IP from the bottom right.

Submit

There you go, restart eMule > it's done!!!

Thanks to someone named DarkFight who gave me the tip.

In any case, I can't do it at home because when I click on submit after entering Custom Service: Emule_TCP, it tells me that I must select a service!
What else do I need to do?

You need to select the customized service on the add port page as explained before.

Thank you, Brain, for your clear and concise explanation on opening ports on the Livebox Pro. Know that I searched for a long time on forums for a solution to this issue, and finally, your explanation allowed me to do it!
Thanks again.

I did all the steps to unblock the ports, but my download speed is still very low. Could you help me because I don't know what to do anymore?

There's something I don't understand: you say I need to copy and paste my IP address, while I'm being asked for the server's IP address?

Hello,

It's been a few weeks since I got the new livebox, and I'm having trouble unblocking eMule with TCP and UDP!

I did:
Username: Admin / Password: Admin
Security / Firewall / Custom / Settings / Default security policy:

-Accept
By default, your livebox will allow communications.

-Deny
By default, your livebox will block communications.

Specific settings:

Service / Protocol / Source port / Destination port / Source IP address / Destination IP address / Action

eMule_TCP / TCP / 65091 / 65091 (Action=> Accepted)

eMule_UDP UDP 16689 16689 (Action=> Accepted)

What should I do?

Hello everyone,

So I've already configured eMule about ten times with this technique that I know by heart, but since I had to reset my Livebox, it's not working anymore!!! I'm on low ID and the TCP test systematically fails!! I think it must be due to the IP address which has probably changed, but now I'm lost!! If anyone had a solution to my problem, I would be thrilled!!! Thanks again

Hello,

I searched for a long time for advice on how to configure the ports on my Livebox, and when I connected all the sites, trying a bit of everything, I realized that it wasn't easy to find effective advice for a beginner. So I thought maybe I could help someone like me who knows nothing about computers. Here's a tip on how to open the ports on your Livebox (Inventel for me) for LimeWire:
- First thing, open LimeWire.
- Second thing, click on Tools / Options / Advanced, then Firewall.
- Third thing, click on "Manually configure port forwarding."
- Fourth thing, note down this number.
Moving on to the second step.
- No. 5, open your internet homepage, then at the top of the page, where the http address is, type in the following address: 192.168.1.1, then press enter.
- You are now at your Livebox access, enter your credentials, which by default are: admin for one and admin for the other; it’s the same and it means administrator :p
- You are now in your Livebox system, click on Configuration / Advanced / Router Stop. Now go to the Router section and click on "Add." From there, select "FTP" from the list, leave the second option, and in the protocol, select "TCP." The external and internal ports are the same as the number you should have taken from LimeWire; enter those, then the last series of digits must be noted, otherwise it should appear on the page in question. Click on Submit... Restart LimeWire and normally, that's it!

Salut... I’m trying my best to find (after entering the Livebox settings) “router”... impossible to find it... there is “new routing”... but that’s it... is it the same thing?.... thanks, see you later.

It works!! Thank you very much!! I made a mistake at the beginning. We need to do TCP AND UDP, I skipped some lines ^^.

It's clear that this works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to Brain-xxs.... Never forget that in most cases, it's the router that is at the root of everything....

Thank you for these explanations, but what should we choose when we're asked to enter a service at the time of clicking on "submit"? Thank you in advance!!!! Ingrid

Hello,
Can someone help me because I can't open the ports, meaning I don't have the same configuration as you mention in your messages and I'm therefore lost.
Thank you for your help.

Hello everyone, I set up my mule with my Alice box and two days later my modem burned out, does anyone have an explanation for this problem? Please respond, I'm at my wit's end.

For those who are getting "select a service" even though you did everything correctly, it's very simple. There's a space after "Emule_TCP " because you copied and pasted, so just remove it and it will work perfectly,
SO: "Emule_TCP" and not "Emule_TCP "
