Hello,
I am recording TV shows (using a SAGEMCOM decoder) on a high-speed USB drive (in ALIDVR).
When I try to play them on my PC, I can only watch the first 20 minutes, after that.... nothing.
What program should I download to view the recordings in full?
Thank you for your help!

Hello, ALIDVR is a codec (I'm not sure if it's new) that enables video playback. I'm recording a movie or a show on TV with a USB stick that I transfer to my Windows 7 Starter PC. There, the film appears in ALIDVR which I play with VLC. But I can only watch the first 20 minutes. Which program should I download to view the whole movie or show? Thank you!

Hello,
ALIDVR is not a codec; Ali is the name of the Chinese chipset used by this Sagem decoder http://www.ali.com.tw/index.php/tw/. AliDVR is simply the name of the folder that contains the recording files. These files can either have the mpeg or DVR extension, depending on the extension you selected in the PVR configuration menu.
This Ali chipset can be found in many TNT decoders from various brands.
If your decoder is a Sagem twin 650 T and you selected the TS option, then to play your DVR recordings on another device, you need to convert these files to mpeg using this software https://www.sedea.fr/. -
You can also use this software https://www.homecinema-fr.com/forum/chaines-tv-demodulateurs/rectvedit-logiciel-de-gestion-des-enregistrements-dvb-t29948456.html to make your files compatible with the playback software.

Thank you Steamboy, that's really nice of you!
You understood everything: I indeed recorded on a SAGEMCOM decoder (which, if I'm not mistaken, is indeed French; I didn't know they used Chinese chipsets!).
The files inside ALIDVR have the MPG extension (e.g., 001.MPG, 002.MPG, 003.MPG, etc...) and I can only play the first one (001.MPG) which lasts only 20-25 minutes and the others are empty!
If I want to record a show or a movie in full, I have to cut it into recordings of 20 minutes (handy!!! especially if it's a telefilm that lasts 4 hours!!!)
I will follow your instructions and try to download the software you recommended and I will keep you posted.
Thank you! -
I still haven't found the solution. I haven't been able to download the programs recommended by other users. I'm back to square one.....
If anyone has an idea, that would be great.-
Good evening, I just used the software from the link provided by Steamboy
It works
In the software, you need to select the decoder that recorded the show you want to watch, then locate the show itself in the ALIDVR folder and select the INFO.DVR file
Once everything is loaded in the software window, click "file," "export.ts," choose where you want to save the new file and click "save"
Let the software work, it indicates when it’s done and you get a single file that can be played in VLC for example
