I just bought a Toshiba LCD TV 20VL63.
Here's my problem:

The sound keeps switching from stereo to mono and back again even though I've set the sound type to "mono" in the menu.

Could the problem be related to the channel settings?

In fact, I found an effective workaround... I'm actually using the tuner from my VCR. No more problems!!
Being a very sensitive product, I think this type of television reacts too easily to variations in the received signals. So, it's necessary to go through a less sensitive tuner like the one in the VCR.
