Hello,
I purchased F1 2011 on Steam, no issues with the download, but when I try to launch the game, nothing happens at all.
I have done quite a bit of research and to summarize, I have performed all of the following operations:
-Run Steam as Admin' => It doesn't change anything
-It seems that the game doesn't launch when Microsoft Games for Windows is not installed, so I checked. It is indeed present but when I launch GFWLive => "A required component of Windows is disabled on your computer. Would you like to learn how to fix this problem?
-After more extensive research... I find what might be the solution to this problem. It could be related to Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1.
But when I try to reinstall it, it tells me => "You must use the 'Turn Windows features on or off' option in the Control Panel to install or configure Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.
How can I solve this problem?
So, if anyone has had the same problem or someone who has the solution, I thank you in advance.
Configuration:
Windows 7 x 64
Firefox 7.0.1
DirectX 11.0
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500 CPU @ 3.30GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 (1024 MB)
2 x 4 GB DDR3-1600 DDR3 SDRAM
4 GB DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM

Sorry for the double post.
Problem solved for the moment. In the Microsoft Games for Windows Installation folder, I launched GFWLive as Admin and it works. -
Hello,
to install NET.Framework, click on Control Panel (displayed by categories) under Programs, click on Uninstall a program / in the left menu "Turn Windows features on or off", check NET.Framework and click OK. -
Thank you for your response.
I forgot to mention, but I have already performed this operation.
The Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 box is already checked.
