Understanding what an IP address corresponds to

Hello,

I have a particular issue. Indeed, I recently received a bailiff's notice for non-payment of a registration on a website, in Germany, no less.
The letter has my details on it, but I have never been on this site.
They provided the IP address from which the registration was made.
2.13.61.140
Can someone give me some information?
If I'm not mistaken, it's a Class A address.

Thank you very much,

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 7.0.1

Hello,
I can't provide you with information, but isn't this IP address yours?

Hello,

1) YES, it is indeed a class A address (it's all the more surprising since this type of address is usually reserved for large companies closely related to IT).
2) To know your IP address: https://whatismyipaddress.com/
You will receive back the outgoing IP address of your BOX and normally the name of your provider managing this IP address.
3) If, as I suspect, it is not your BOX's outgoing IP address, be wary of a possible scam and do not share any personal information.
Best regards

Hello,
I confirm. This simply means that given the scarcity of IPv4 addresses, Orange has acquired a Class A range.
Best regards

Good evening,
For your information, a class C = 254 possible machines
a class B = 254*254
a class A = 254*254*254
so only large structures are entitled to it, even if that means splitting them into subnets.
Looking forward to IP V6
Best regards

It looks like an IP address from Orange, around Rennes (WHOIS):
"inetnum: 2.13.61.0 - 2.13.61.255
netname: IP2000-ADSL-BAS
descr: BSREN257 Rennes Block 1"

Hello,
Thank you for your responses.
I have of course tried to find out my IP address, mine starts with 82.xxx.xx.xxx

I think I have been "hacked". I will try to check with the police.

If anyone else has any information, I am interested.

Thank you

Ask your supplier if you received this lease address on the date provided in the letter. What other evidence do these scammers present?

The thing is, on June 12th, I wasn't home the entire weekend. Otherwise, they have my postal address, my name, and my mobile number.
I'm going to delete my email address; I think that's where it came from.
